Snakes Are Cute

pickingaurlnameishard asked: What kind of snakes do you own? I really want a ball python but not aloud one so I'll have to wait til I move out -.- have you ever been bitten by one? if so, on a scale of 1-10 how much does it hurt?:-)

I do not currently own any snakes :( this is quite sad for me, but as I’m in college, I just don’t have the time, funds, and stability to devote to a snake. I’ve cared for a ball python for an extended amount of time though, and I worked with many snakes at the zoo.

I’ve never been bitten, but my friends who have said that it isn’t that bad - though this was when the snake immediately let go. One of my friends who got bit by a snake likened it to a multiplied bee sting, but one that goes away much faster. Also, just as a note, your snake shouldn’t bite you normally, and if it does it could be a sign that something’s wrong (though accidents happen and temperaments vary). 

Anyone who has gotten bitten by their snake (ball python or not) want to weigh in on the pain scale?
