kororaa asked: is it true that ball python morphs are really inbred?

I know that generally with some animals and morphs (such as white tigers) they were initially created and perpetuated through inbreeding. But that was a long time ago and before a lot of understanding of genetics. With ball pythons, I have no idea, especially because there are almost a hundred (if not more) types of morphs, and each one might have a different history of its creation.

Anyone have any insight on this?
